Zacapa Centenario Reserve 23 Years, is a premium aged rum of limited production with 23 years of aging in white oak barrels. Because of its bouquet it is considered "the cognac of the rums". Its packaging is made with real palm and woven by Guatemalan artisans. Winner for five consecutive years (1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002) of 1st. Place Premium Category at Caribean Week's Rum Festival and qualified by Wine Enthusiast specialized magazine with 95 points out of 100, above world-renowned brands, hence its fame as the best Rum in the World. Ron Zacapa Centenario was chosen for the inauguration of the event's Hall of Fame, a status that until now has not been achieved by any other old rum in the world.

This rum is made from a mixture of rums of the highest quality aged separately for more than 23 years in high Guatemalan mountains
This rum rests at 2,300 meters altitude in La Casa de las Nubes, one of the highest centers in the world.
Nose intensely honeyed and somewhat alcoholic while in the mouth it is soft, sweet and very sweet.
Its aging process is divided into 3 stages, the aging in American bourbon barrels, the aging in barrels of Jerez and finally the aging in wine barrels of Malaga, the last process that gives it its characteristic sweet touch.
