Sierra Cantabria Crianza is a red wine from the D.O. La Rioja made by Bodegas Sierra Cantabria. It is a monovarietal of Tempranillo, characteristic variety of the zone.
The vineyards are located in the towns of San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Labastida.
The grape used for Sierra Cantabria Crianza was harvested manually and the clusters are selected in the vineyard itself and in selection tapes already in the winery.
Subsequently, the grapes are despalilla and fermented at controlled temperature of between 25º and 28º with native yeasts coming from the vineyards themselves.
Sierra Cantabria Maceration afterwards with the skins for 16 days carrying out two traps daily.
Sierra Cantabria Crianza rests finally in French and American oak Bordeaux barrels for approximately 14 months. During this time there are four-month racking.
