prepared by the López Cristobal winery. It is a monovarietal Tinta del Pais to which is added some Merlot.
The farm from which the wine comes, baptized as La Colorada, is located at about 790 meters of altitude. It has a vineyard about 30 years old, which grows on a calcareous soil. After the harvest, carried out manually and with small boxes of fruit for transport, the harvested grape passes through a selection table.
After going through the different production processes, including alcoholic fermentation at a constant temperature of 28º, López Cristobal Crianza ages for twelve months in French (70%) and American (30%) oak barrels. Before being commercialized, this wine rests for another year in the bottle.
