It is a red wine from D.O. La Rioja made by the Marqués de Cáceres Winery. This is a monovarietal wine, which uses only the Tempranillo variety.
The vines are between 65 and 90 years old and are mostly grown in clay-calcareous soils.
The alcoholic fermentation takes place in small deposits of stainless steel with indigenous yeast, at a temperature that reaches a maximum of 28º. The maceration, which takes place after this first process, lasts up to 30 days. The light micro-oxygenation is carried out until the malolactic fermentation begins in a new French oak barrel with a medium toasting.
At the end of this process, which lasts three months, the wine rests in barrels another twelve. The wine is then sharpened a minimum of six months in the bottle.
